A new project to promote Montreal art and culture<\/strong> was launched last December to the delight of passengers and the entire YUL community.<\/p>\n

A mural nearly six metres evocative of the city’s lively alleys<\/strong> with its vibrant patterns and colours was painted by artist C\u00e9cile Gari\u00e9py<\/a>.\u00a0 Declined in two visuals, the mural can be admired in the transborder zone near gate 79.<\/p>\n

This initiative allows passengers and employees to travel to Montreal through the art of this Quebec artist who has already created other eye-catching urban murals in Montreal. It\u2019s no coincidence that the artwork evokes the city\u2019s alleys: they are emblematic of Montr\u00e9al\u2019s history, culture and art<\/strong>. They irrigate our city and demonstrate our MONTREALitude.<\/strong> Both in summer and winter, these spaces are very popular places for residents and tourists alike.<\/p>\n

The project came to life thanks to the YULArt program<\/strong>, launched earlier this year, which aims to promote the work of local artists and is meant to enhance the passenger experience.<\/p>\n
