{"id":7079,"date":"2026-02-16T11:11:55","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T16:11:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yulexpress.com\/?p=7079"},"modified":"2026-02-16T11:11:55","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T16:11:55","slug":"airport-workers-day-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yulexpress.com\/en\/2026\/02\/airport-workers-day-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Airport Workers Day 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>On June 25, 2026, airports across the country, including YUL A\u00e9roport de Montr\u00e9al, will celebrate <a href=\"https:\/\/canadasairports.ca\/events\/airport-workers-day\/\">Airport Workers Day<\/a>, a national initiative led by the Canadian Airports Council\u00a0that recognizes the people who play a vital role in the daily operation of our airports.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Shine a light on a colleague who makes a difference!<br \/>\n<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In preparation for this celebration, a call for nominations is now open to select nine airport workers who will be\u00a0honoured\u00a0for their outstanding work, dedication, and contribution to our industry.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Every team has people who go above and beyond, who inspire others, and who make our environment more human and more efficient. This initiative\u00a0allows you\u00a0to nominate a colleague whose work deserves recognition.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Submit their nomination by March 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=TeyXerYVsU6O6ArBqsdL8L_HArS3oQhPgHBt1edBMqtURDY2TVJRUTlOVjRZTEM0NTAzOVIzVVVYNi4u&amp;route=shorturl\">completing the form here<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who can submit a nomination? <\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Airport management, airlines, colleagues, and even passengers. In short,\u00a0anyone who\u00a0wishes to recognize the work of an airport community employee.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who can be nominated? <\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Any employee working at an airport: baggage handlers, security personnel, maintenance teams,\u00a0concession employees,\u00a0customer service representatives, cleaning staff, or airport authority employees.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>What are the award categories? <\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Rising Star, Excellence in Efficiency Optimization, Airport Innovator, Environmental Steward, Outstanding Service, Operational Excellence, Outstanding Leadership, Industry Champion, Outstanding Contribution to Safety and\/or Security.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Nominating a colleague is a meaningful way to acknowledge their impact and help highlight the strength of our airport community.
