As part of the REM Station construction project, blasting work will begin in the construction site already present around the P5 parking lot (north) on January 31, 2022, and continue until September 2022.

The secure area is represented by the red square below. Micro-blasting will take place in the access shaft.

Sequence for each blasting operation

1. Warning: Twelve short alarm signals will be heard in and around the construction site.
2. Controlled blasting.
3. Long alarm signal once the blasting is completed and construction site activities are resumed.

 

During the blasting, you will not feel any vibrations unless you are very close to the job site. The vibration usually lasts only one second.

Blasting schedule

The blasting work will be carried out mostly during daytime and the number of blasts will vary depending on the progress of the work.
