The pandemic is far from having slowed down the innovation of our colleagues at Alstef Canada! On the contrary, for two years now, its teams, with the involvement of ADM and numerous partners from the airport community, have been multiplying their IT victories, up to the very last one, a complete upgrade of the IT solution for their baggage sorting system.

The upgrade is part of the BAGsort (formerly known as BAGWARE) migration project, which aims to optimize baggage handling in the transborder terminal – from sorting to screening – and increase the robustness of the solution used in several international airports.

Ultimately, the terminal will be equipped with a software suite offering a complete and secure range of control, tracking, sorting, visualization and information modules for the baggage handling system, interfacing with other systems present at the airport, to provide real-time traceability and complete control at all levels.

As air traffic picks up, there are still many challenges to overcome, especially in terms of labour. That is why today, in addition to celebrating these important technological achievements, we want to highlight the resilience of the entire airport community and its ability to come together on such a large-scale project.

Once again, congratulations to the teams involved!
