On 5 July, we were delighted to welcome the very first Emirates flight from Dubai to YUL. Under a bright sun, the imposing Boeing 777-300 touched down on our runway 24R shortly before 8:30 a.m.
This historic moment was captured by our colleagues and loyal airport watchmen who were feverishly awaiting the arrival of the plane near the runway.
Emirates’ arrival in Montréal represents the biggest inauguration of a flight since Air China in 2015!
Emirates Commercial Director, Adnan Kazim, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations for the Americas, Salem Obaidalla, Tourisme Montréal President, Yves Lalumière, and ADM Aéroports de Montréal’s President and CEO, Philippe Rainville, all took to the podium to highlight the success of this new route, which will enable passengers to fly non-stop to Dubai every day.
The wide-bodied aircraft offers passengers first class, business class and economy class, for a total of 354 seats.
