September 23 to 27 is National Airport Safety Week, organized by the Canadian Airports Council (CAC).

During this awareness-raising week, we’ll be focusing our efforts on organizing activities to further develop our safety culture and raise employee awareness of the need to maintain safe working practices and methods to protect their colleagues and passengers.

We are pleased to unveil a rich program of activities, giving you the chance to win a $500 gift certificate for travel with the airline of your choice!

2024 theme: A culture of safety

This year’s theme is the culture of safety.

But what does it really mean?

In a nutshell, it’s the way members of an organization behave towards safety and risk when no one is watching. It represents the primary reflex in the event of an incident or accident; the way we act under operational pressure.

In other words, safety must be anchored in the corporate culture: every employee becomes an ambassador for this culture and applies it to everything they do. This same culture also encourages every employee to report safety issues openly, so that they can be assessed quickly and effectively.

A rich program

The SMS team at ADM Aéroports de Montréal has been working on the 2024 program for several months now.

Next FOD Walk YUL: you can register now!

Our traditional FOD Walk is an important awareness-raising opportunity for our airport community, and we’re delighted to announce it return this week on Friday, September 27, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
