ADM Aéroports de Montréal would like to remind the YUL community that Restricted Area Identification Cards (RAICs) or temporary passes must be worn visibly by all employees in restricted areas at all times.

According to Article 167 of the Canadian Aviation Security Regulations, 2012 (CASR), it is strictly prohibited for anyone holding a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) or a temporary pass to enter or remain in a restricted area unless their pass is always visibly worn on their outer clothing.

Failure to comply with this requirement may result in disciplinary measures by Transport Canada, including the suspension of the RAIC or temporary pass and a fine of up to $5,000. Transport Canada will conduct more frequent inspections.

Consult all the conditions of issue !

There are several compliant ways to wear your card or pass:

  • Suspended around the neck with a badge lanyard
  • Fastened at the waist with a retractable clip badge holder
  • Attached to the arm with an armband badge holder

What matters most is always wearing it and making sure it’s clearly visible to avoid penalties!

To report any violation or suspicious behaviour, please contact Airport Security at 514-420-5000.
