Fire Alert at the Aéroquai: Situation Under Control and Gradual Reopening

ADM Aéroports de Montréal is providing an update on the incident that occurred overnight on Sunday, March 1, 2026, when a small fire broke out at Gate 19 in the Aéroquai sector at YUL. The incident was caused by a malfunctioning housekeeping device that was charging and belonged to an external partner.

Emergency response teams were immediately deployed in accordance with established procedures. Thanks to the rapid intervention of SIADM firefighters, the fire was quickly contained, and the situation was assessed without delay.

The Aéroquai was temporarily closed to allow for cleaning and restoration of the affected surfaces and equipment. No injuries were reported, and the incident remained confined to a limited area. All necessary measures were taken to ensure a fully safe operating environment before activities resumed.

ADM confirms that operations at the Aéroquai are gradually resuming as restoration work progresses and final inspections are completed.

This event highlighted the responsiveness, professionalism, and composure of the teams involved, as well as the priority placed on safety in every intervention at YUL.
