Due to the pandemic, the Government of Quebec is imposing a curfew starting December 31, 2021. Between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., non-essential travel is prohibited. Travel to or from the workplace that cannot be postponed is authorized.
Airports are designated by the Government of Quebec as one of the priority transport services. To provide access to the two sites (YUL and YMX) for essential employees of the airport community, attached is a letter authorizing travel for professional purposes. You must give a copy of this letter to the employees of your organization who are crucial, essential and necessary in order to fulfill the mission of your organization.
The employee must complete the bottom section, including his employer and the workplace (YUL and/or YMX). Employees are also advised to have identification, proof of residence and proof of employment (ideally an employee card such as a RAIC) to facilitate police validation.
Employees must also be able to justify their itinerary and confirm that they are on duty.
This letter is strictly for the use of employees who must commute to work at one of the two airport sites. It cannot be used for other types of travel or other people than the concerned employee.
Reminder that Airport Patrol special constables will be empowered to issue tickets to everyone, including airport community employees who do not comply with these measures. Remember that fines can reach the amount of $1,550 (including fees).
Particular attention will be towards the respect of:
Travel for passengers
Travel related to transfers or transits to or from airports is authorized. We recommend that travelers have their travel document on hand, if applicable.
For greeters and meeters, we recommend having a copy (paper or electronic) of the travel documents of the person they are driving back or picking up.
Work at home
We would like to remind all employees who can work from home to do so full time.
ADM Aéroports de Montréal would also like to remind everyone that physical distancing must be maintained, particularly during breaks and at meals when the mask is not worn. With the exception of these periods, wearing a mask is mandatory at all times in the terminal building.
Thank you for your daily presence, which helps maintain a level of service at the airport. In these difficult times, we invite you to take care of yourself and your family.
