For the past several weeks, airports around the world have been rocked by an impressive travel recovery and a labor shortage that knows no boundaries. YUL is no exception.

We cannot forget the events of June 16, when lightning and thunderstorms paralyzed our operations for several hours, and those of June 28, when a breakdown in the baggage room caused the cancellation of 120 flights and delayed 130 arrivals and departures during the evening.

Despite this challenging context, it is inspiring to see that the airport community cares about the traveller and does so with a smile. The dedication of the entire community is felt daily, as everyone pitches in to find solutions to make the processes as smooth as possible for the traveller. It is this service-oriented culture that sets us apart at YUL – we don’t just content ourselves with offering good service to the passenger; we place ourselves at their service.

Dealing with unhappy and exhausted passengers is not easy. We have all experienced these emotions at one time or another over the past few weeks. But the greater YUL community is resilient, and we will get through these turbulent times – together.

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that if you have any questions or comments about what is happening in your community, do not hesitate to use the YULsatisfaction platform. A member of the team will be happy to answer you as soon as possible.

Once again, thank you for your professionalism. There is much to be proud of in this mobilization, which demonstrates the team spirit, rigor, perseverance and passion of our community!
