We were over 100 volunteers on May 26 to take part in the spring edition of the FOD Walk at YUL. Under a bright sun, we scoured the domestic and international jetties to pick up waste that could pose a safety risk to our operations.  

FODs can cause injuries to airside employees and significant damage to aircrafts. It is everyone’s responsibility to keep the apron and our movement area clean.  

We would like to thank all our partners who were present, including Aero Mag, Alstef, GardaWorld, Air Transat, Delta Air Lines, Swiss Air Lines, and the Commissionaires.  

We’d also like to extend a special thanks to the handlers present – Menzies, Samsic Assistance, TSAS Avjet and Swissport – for their invaluable help during this clean-up operation, and for their daily contribution to ensuring the safety and fluidity of our airside operations.
