With the busy summer period fast approaching, raising awareness of health and safety issues in the workplace takes on added significance. As an airport authority, ADM Aéroports de Montréal is taking advantage of OHS Week to raise awareness of safe practices among its teams and those of the YUL community, as well as to fine-tune their health and safety knowledge.
The theme of this year’s week is innovation, underlining the importance for ADM of going beyond legal and normative requirements to promote an ever-safer working environment. This requires the constant implementation of new methods and technologies, and the participation of all players in the airport ecosystem. By integrating innovative practices, our partners can continuously anticipate risks and offer proactive solutions, thus guaranteeing a safer and more productive working environment for their employees.
Initiatives of the week
This Wednesday, the ADM OHS team, in partnership with several ADM and community teams, is organizing a booth fair to learn more about a wide range of OHS-related topics, including the work performed by our paramedics and the signage specific to the construction industry. The fair will take place in the cafeteria on the 2nd floor of the terminal, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Throughout the week, representatives from ADM’s Airport Patrol, Urgences Santé and the Sûreté du Québec will be on hand to raise public awareness in key areas of the terminal, notably on the importance of OHS in the airport environment, and the importance of wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
We look forward to seeing you there!
