As an airport authority, ADM Aéroports de Montréal places great importance on the safety of the airport community’s employees. In the past few days, an unfortunate incident has occurred at YUL.

Please be advised that regardless of the reason or dissatisfaction of a passenger, nothing justifies the use of physical and verbal violence in our facilities. ADM will never tolerate this type of behavior.

Airport Security is present 24 hours a day on site to ensure the safety and security of all.

In the event that you are a victim or witness to an act of physical or verbal violence, here are some tips:

1. Establish a code or sign with your co-workers if such a situation occurs;
2. Do not confront the passenger;
3. Do not leave your work area, stay behind your counter;
4. If you notice a passenger behaving aggressively (e.g. clenched fists, red face, yelling or throwing objects) you must immediately call 514-420-5000 and transmit the relevant information to enable our teams to intervene;
5. If you work in an office, make sure you lock the door.

An awareness campaign will be deployed in the terminal to remind people that no intimidation or threat of violence will be tolerated (see image below).

Once again, we thank you for your daily presence and for the quality of service you provide to ensure that our passengers have a memorable experience at YUL.
