Every year, Fraud Prevention Month reminds us just how quickly fraudulent schemes evolve. Whether in our personal or professional lives, anyone can be targeted. The Sûreté du Québec is taking this opportunity to strengthen vigilance across the entire YUL community.

Understanding Fraud to Better Protect Yourself
Fraud occurs when someone uses deception, lies or manipulation to obtain money, goods or services. Today, these schemes take many forms: phishing attempts targeting your personal or professional email, banking scams, identity theft, and relationship-based fraud—whether friendly or romantic. These attacks can have serious consequences for your financial security, your loved ones’, and your organization’s. Staying informed and alert is essential.

Silence Helps Fraud Spread. Let’s Talk About It!
Because prevention also relies on open dialogue, the Sûreté du Québec team at YUL will host three information booths throughout March. They’ll be available to answer your questions, share preventive methods, and much more. You can meet them at the following times and locations:

  • Booth 1: Wednesday, March 18, from 8:00 to 10:00 at Door 20, Arrivals level (employee shuttle area)
  • Booth 2: Tuesday, March 24, from 11:30 to 13:30 in the employee cafeteria (2nd floor of the terminal)
  • Booth 3: Friday, March 27, from 13:30 to 15:30 at Door 20, Arrivals level (employee shuttle area)

Stop by and meet the Sûreté du Québec team for a quick visit that can make a big difference!
